The Beauty of FRIENDSTER and Y.M

Students like me, talk about the high technology more often than their lessons. Some people say that this is a big "no-no" to the students specially the parents. But do we know what are the advantages and disadvantages of this?

When I am in high school, I always hear my peers talking about "friendster." At first I just snob it because I think it is not important to spend money just because of it. According to her, it is fun to have an account to friendster. She told me positive things about it so I decided to create my own account.

It is hard at first because I am not that good in terms of manipulating computers. In public schools, we have lesser knowledge about it because we have less resources. To think we are three thousand or more students that are using twenty units of computer. We don't have much opportunity to use it. As time passed, I get used on it and learn more about it. I made an account and invited a lot of friends. Until then I realized the beauty of having an account on so called friendster. I met people in and out of the country. Through having friendster, I leaned more on using the computer and yes, it is the best reliable source. My most memorable experience in using friendster is that I met Catherine Smith. She is from Colorado and two years older than me. We became friends and she encourage me to make an account to my y.m. She thought me how to make it. When i have my account, we started chatting almost everyday. We became best friends since then. She's telling me her secrets and happy moments in her life.. but on this day, since my first account was destroyed by someone whom I don't know, I didn't keep in touch with her. But even though that happen, I,m sure she learned A lot from me and so do I.

The best thing that y.m. brought to my life that I was super attached with my mother that is on abroad that time. She was working in Korea then. I never felt that my mom is away from me. Thanks that there is y.m. that keeping me attached with my mom. I never felt that she is not around.

Yes, it was quite expensive but, when I think of this things, communication to our love ones is more important than money. Because of friendster and y.m. I have been more closer to my mom and find a friend. I thought it was impossible but it proved me wrong. I saw a beauty on it. Beauty of love for my mom, and beauty of friendship.
